New, by popular demand. A number of bowling lanes in the US are giving smokefree bowling a cautious try, by establishing no-smoking hours. Others are offering smokefree lanes (how they work this, we don't know!). Note: AMF Bowling is bringing smokefree bowling to some of its Midwest lanes. We will post more on this.

Honolulu has banned smoking in bowling alleys, and compliance is fairly good. We will add some individual listings soon.

Helena passed the first comprehensive clean indoor air ordinance in Montana on June 4, 2002. All venues in the city limits are to be smoke free. Only Missoula has a similar ordinance. Missoula has an exemption for bars and casinos. Helena's ordinance has no exemptions. This means restaurants, bars, casinos are supposed to be nonsmoking - AND bowling!
