We are mindful that we owe the progress of the last thirty years
to organizations carrying out advocacy and education. Here are links to some of them, in alphabetical order.

DontSmoke
This site features the personal story of how the webmaster

He isn't promoting any particular way of quitting, just offering

There's passion and commitment here. Plus neat splashing fire hydrants :)

Other Good Organizations
A roving reporter who has sent in many useful reviews
asks that, in return, we link to this worthwhile organization:
The Myelin Project
They support research into demylinating diseases like
multiple sclerosis. The movie
Lorenzo's Oil is about the founders of The Myelin Project and the work
they did with their son Lorenzo. He has adrenoleukodystrophy. It also
destroys the myelin like MS. ALD is usually fatal at about age 7.
Lorenzo is still alive over 10 years after the movie was made.
