Mama Bea's Big Burgers
5900 West 12th Street (501) 663-3031
I am a regular customer of theirs for more than a decade!
Mama's is one of central Arkansas' most popular fast food eatery's and has been for more than twenty years. The 12th street location is it's newest and is argueably it's best yet. It is spacious, tastefully decorated and more importantly "smoke free"! They have NO smoking section what so ever in this favorite feeding outlet. It's posted on both entrances to the restaurant.
Mama Bea's is regionally famous for its quality fast food selection, featuring their delicious hamburgers, homemade chili and four wonderful varieties of buffalo wings, etc. The atmosphere is clean and franchise like, in a good way, despite the fact that, in reality, Mama Bea's is still a family owned mom and pop.
I believe it is very brave for any privately owned restaurant or bar in this area of the country to disallow smoking inside its primises because locals expect it. Some even demand it. For this reason, I take my hat off to the courage of the folks who call the shots at Mama Bea's.
Thanks to Arthur Moore!
