MAUI
KIHEI
Peggy Sue's
1279 S. Kihei Road (808) 875-8944
Restaurant. Prices are reasonable, food selection ranges from hamburgers to babyback ribs. Dress code is casual (as most places on Maui). The venue is fairly small however. But no reservations required. Worth the trip for lunch or an early dinner.
thanks Macringo (Pat McHenry)!
Stella Blues
1215 South Kihei (808) 874-3779
Cafe. Stella Blues offers the customer a good variety of dining options. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are available. The prices are fair and the quality is good.
Smoking is allowed on the sidewalk outside, but generally, no smoke enters the cafe itself.
Try the turkey club with cranberry mayonnaise dressing and enjoy the posters of the Grateful Dead and Santana.
A good place to take the family, also.
thanks Macringo!
PAIA TOWN
Mama's Fish House
799 Poho Place 808-579-8488
1 and 1/2 miles past Paia town, on the road
to Hana. About 10 minutes from the Kahului Airport (Maui)
Mama's is known to locals and visitors alike
as being one of the very best places to dine
on Maui. Even if the food was not superb, the beachfront view would alone be worth the trip!
Smoking is still allowed in the outer bar area, so be forewarned you will have to walk through it to get to the nonsmoking section. Prices are moderate to expensive, but, the freshness of the
fish dishes are well-worth it. Reservations are definitely recommended for weekend dining.
thanks Macringo!
