A listing of local smokefree dining and entertainment venues.

As of January 16, 2006, Chicago banned smoking in most public places, including restaurants.
Bars and restaurants with bars are exempt until July 1, 2008.
This includes suburbs such as Libertyville.
Listings for bars which go smokefree before then are welcome here.

I experienced another issue on Air Pollution this past week in Chicago. As Chicago is now smoke free and that is wonderful, the smokers have taken to the great our doors. Unfortunately, they have confiscated the venues most tourist visit, i.e. Millennium, etc. Our return route home was via Union Station. While in wait for our train, we decided the children could watch the boats on Chicago River, but smokers had infiltrated the station entrance area and we had to return inside. Next step, Smoking and Non smoking areas outdoors or ban smoking in outdoors areas that are tourist related or over crowded. Thank you and the best to you on your efforts. I am happy to be an advocate for A smoke free World. Thanks to Janie!
