Many thanks to Robert Starkey of the ETS Story Project for the following great information. The ETS Story Project is a collection of personal stories of people seriously affected by secondhand tobacco smoke. You might find a familiar story there!
Sez Robert:
I want to introduce you to this wonderful little secret in southern Arizona
called Bisbee. It's a tourist town of around 6,000 people, with what has
been called the best climate in the United States. When I was told by two
different people within the space of one week that Bisbee was the perfect
place for me, I decided to check it out. I became very excited when I
received an email response from the Bisbee Chamber of Commerce about smoking
in restaurants:
Greetings Robert,
Thanks for your inquiry. We are glad to report that most, if not all, of the restaurants in Bisbee are completely non-smoking. It's a very strong principle here and many folks are not tolerant or have been afflicted by the thoughtlessness of smokers and understandibly resent it. Eateries with patios or porches can't stop the smoking in those out door areas.
We're happy you found our web site helpful. Enjoy your visit.
Sincerely,
Bisbee Chamber
